I have deep respect for Western medicine—and I always will.
I was raised in it. My father is a retired primary care physician and one of my earliest role models. I’ve seen firsthand how life-saving modern medicine, advanced technology, skilled surgeons, and pharmaceuticals can be absolutely essential. I’ve personally relied on it, and so have my children, family members, and friends.
And here’s what I also know to be true:
Western medicine is exceptional at crisis care. Holistic and functional medicine are exceptional at prevention, optimization, and long-term healing.
My work lives in the intelligent space between the two.
My Path Wasn’t Linear—and That’s My Strength
My original plan was medical school. Instead, I took a detour that gave me a rare, inside-out understanding of healthcare.
During my final year at Assumption University, I interned with a large pharmaceutical company—an experience that led to a successful career in pharmaceutical sales and an MBA in Marketing. I gained invaluable insight into allopathic medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, and the business of healthcare.
But something still felt unfinished.
Despite professional success, I felt a persistent calling to help people in a deeper, more comprehensive way. Not just to manage symptoms—but to understand why the body was struggling in the first place.
My Personal Health Wake-Up Call
In my mid-20s, I hit a wall.
I was exhausted, disconnected from my body, and dealing with daily fatigue and low mood. I wasn’t taking care of myself, and my lifestyle reflected it. Nothing was “clinically wrong”—but I didn’t feel well.
That experience changed everything.
I began exercising consistently, working with an incredible trainer, and—more importantly—learning what real nutrition actually meant. As my food choices improved, my energy, mood, confidence, and clarity transformed. My body responded. My mindset shifted. My life followed.
That awakening ignited a lifelong passion for nutrition, movement, and functional health. I went on to compete in fitness competitions for several years—not because of aesthetics, but because I was fascinated by how profoundly the body can change when supported correctly.
This wasn’t about willpower. It was about biology, consistency, and alignment.
Education, Credentials & Clinical Depth
While raising three daughters, I pursued advanced education that aligned with the way I believe health should be practiced—comprehensive, integrative, and human-centered.
My credentials include:
• Doctorate in Naprapathic Medicine
• PhD in Alternative Medicine
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Holistic Health
• Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist (NANP)
• Board-Certified Sexologist (American Board of Sexology)
• Advisory Board Member, American Naprapathic Association
• Graston Technique® Clinician
This combination allows me to work across fascia, nutrition, nervous system regulation, hormones, movement, and intimacy—because health does not live in silos.
Why Poe Holistic Health Exists
I created Poe Holistic Health because I saw a gap.
Some people need Western medicine and holistic support. Some people need lifestyle, nutrition, fascia work, and nervous system care alone. Most people need a thoughtful blend—without extremism on either side.
I don’t believe in choosing sides. I believe in choosing what works.
That’s why my philosophy is simple:
Holistic—but realistic.
POE stands for Personalized Optimized Essentials—because no two bodies, lives, or stress loads are the same. Health should be personal. Care should be strategic. Results should be sustainable.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is a resilient, regulated, well-functioning body and mind.
My Mission
My mission is to help people optimize their health using natural, non-invasive, and evidence-informed approaches—while respecting and turning to conventional medicine when it’s needed.
This is about:
• Reducing unnecessary suffering
• Restoring function and confidence
• Supporting the whole person—mind, body, and nervous system
• Empowering people to understand and lead their own health
Because real health isn’t about restriction or fear. It’s about clarity, capability, and living fully.
That’s the Health Boss way.
