what is intimacy consulting?

Intimacy consulting, also known as love or relationship coaching, seeks to help individuals feel more comfortable and safe getting close to others — emotionally and physically.

This form of consulting can help clients:

  • Realize their full intimate potential

  • Love themselves unconditionally

  • Identify and remove emotional roadblocks

  • Increase emotional awareness and identify factors that cause them to hold back from deep emotional and physical intimacy

  • Improve their sex life by understanding their own intimacy style and that of their partner

“It means living an optimal healthy life WITHOUT depriving yourself of what brings you joy and fulfillment!”

Who may benefit from this:

  • You want to maximize your dating skills.

  • You want to move your relationship from casual dating to intimacy.

  • You are in a long-term relationship and want more romance in your life.

  • You seek to spice up your sex life.

  • You want to learn how to resolve disagreements better so that it does not impact your intimate or sex life.

  • You are recovering from heartbreak and are ready to begin dating again.

  • You want to establish relationship boundaries.

what to expect during a session:

Your comfort and well-being will be a priority — your consultation will be a judgement free zone.

In a session, we will go through a full health history, as well as your reasons for seeking a love coach and/or sexologist. I will take the time to get to know you, understand your expectations and goals, and come up with a plan that guides you towards a more fulfilling relationship. Together we will get to the core of your beliefs and desires, and help steer you towards deeper intimacy. We will develop a strategy to better cope with life stresses that are impacting your intimacy.

In addition, as a sexologist, I will apply a positive approach towards addressing your sexual concerns, as well as educate and help you understand human sexuality and behavior.

what is a sexologist?

It is important to understand that a sexologist is not a sex therapist, sex counselor or sex coach.

Sexologists work towards the understanding of human sexuality. Sexologists often have other advanced degrees and practice other disciplines, but they are not a licensed psychologist, clinical social worker, or mental health counselor. A sexologist is often recognized through some kind of certifying body like the https://americanboardofsexology.org/, or the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) https://www.aasect.org/

Sexologists and love coaches usually work directly with issues in a short-term focused format, whereas a licensed sex therapist work with clients with deeper psychological issues and traumas.

A sex counselor and sex therapist are licensed professionals who can help with the mental or emotional aspects of sex related issues. The main difference between a sex counselor and sex therapist is that the latter has mental health training in psychology and/or psychotherapy that qualifies them to practice intensive clinical therapy and provide treatment. A sex coach helps individuals enjoy and intensify their sexual experiences through advice, techniques and exercise that aim to encourage a better sexual experience.

As a board certified sexologist and love coach, I will never take the place of a licensed mental health provider.

“I would love to be able to support you and help you find a solution that is right for you and your lifestyle.”
